Yesterday was not only my bestie Emily's birthday, but her hubby, Dave, was wrestling in the ACC Championships at the University of Maryland. Since thats just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road from us Jonathan and I headed up there for a day of wrestling awesomeness! Lets just say that by the time the day was over we were exhausted from all the cheering and excitement...and we didn't even have to do anything!
Starting off our mini road trip with our favorite Blended Mint Condition Mochas from Caribou Coffee!
Dave& Emily were able to put us on a special list that got us free tickets into the matches. We just had to walk up to a special table and say "We're with David Marone from Virginia Tech", flash our IDs, and in we go! I know...we are SO legit :)

Oh, and did I mention that Dave has never won an ACC title, and Virginia Tech has never won the ACC championship in wrestling??
It was a back and forth battle between VT and UVA during the finals and it all came down to the final match of the night....Dave's. You could pretty much feel the electricity in the room, and everyone was literally on the edge of their seats...I thought I would pee my pants I was so nervous/excited!
When the match started there was no doubt who was going to win...Dave dominated it and won by major decision 8-0!
His first ACC title, and it clenched the first win for Virginia Tech in the ACC championships! What a night! So glad we were able to share this and rejoice with you guys!

Fun! First of all those coffees look delicious! No road trip is complete without such a beverage :) and I am glad your friend one - makes the whole experience that much more exciting - yay! Maybe your next road trip can me out to Cali? Haha - maybe a bit long for a road trip, but we would love to have you all out sometime!
